Getting Started
We use the Golden Records system for archery score submissions. To access Golden Records for the first time, you require the sign in details that you should have received to activate your account. If you do not have sign in details, John Tizzard or Rob Williams can issue them. Instructions on how to activate your account and submit scores are shown below.
Activate your account
Please ask John Tizzard or Rob Williams to activate your Golden Records account. You should receive an email from Archery Records Online that contains your User ID and a link to Activate Now. Follow these steps to activate your account:
- Take note of your User ID, you will need it when you sign in.
- Click the button from your email.
- When Golden Records opens, please click consent the button to agree to the terms to activate your account, otherwise you will not be able to submit your archery records.
- Enter and confirm a safe password of your choice, the click Set Password. Ensure you choose a password you can remember but never share it with anyone.
- Finally click the Sign In button once your password has successfully been created to launch the sign in page.
Submitting a score
Once signed in, you can add a new score by clicking from the left hand menu. You have the choice of a single score entry or a multiple score entry by clicking the button.
Single Score Entry
To add a single score, simply select the relevant values for Date, Category, Class and Round from the drop-down selections. Then enter the correct Score and Hits values. Complete Golds and Tens as follows:
- For an Imperial round, record Golds as the total number of 9’s scored and set Tens to zero.
- For a Metric round, record Golds as the total number of 10’s and X’s and set Tens as the total number of X’s scored. Completing this incorrectly may prevent you from obtaining a club record for a tied score with the previous record.
Add Where shot as the location where you shot the round. You can attach an electronic copy of your score in you wish by clicking the Choose file option. This can be a photo of the handwritten score-sheet or a screenshot or export from a scoring app.
Additional information such as equipment used, distance scores, and notes can be added by clicking the Add More Details option. This is only optional and not required, for more help on this topic please refer to the Golden Records Help.
When ready, click the button to submit your score. Please note the same page will be displayed after submission so you can enter another score.
Multiple Score Entry
To add multiple scores, click the button to enable the multiple score entry page. For each row, select the relevant values for Bow Class, Category, Round and Date Shot from the drop-down selections.
Leave the default with Qualifying checked so the score can be used for your handicap and classification.
Enable the Record Status option if the round shot was shot at a record status tournament so that it can be used for your classification, if necessary.
To add additional score line click the button for each new line.
When ready, click the button to submit your score.
Important Information
- Double Rounds. If you are entering a double round, i.e. Double York, Double American etc., no handicap or classification will be given. These are recorded for score and club records purposes only. For handicap and classifications, you will need to enter each single round as a separate round as well.
- Metric Distance Scores. If you are entering distance scores for any of the 3 dozen at metric distances, they must have been shot as part of a 12 dozen WA1440 or Metric round. Shooting just 3 dozen arrows at metric distance is not a round. Handicaps and classifications can only be provided for the full 12 dozen round that the distance is part of.
- Frostbite Round. A Frostbite round is 3 dozen arrows at 30 metres at an 80cm face. It must be shot outdoors between October to March. Handicaps and classifications cannot be obtained for this round.
- 252 Imperial Distance Scores. If you are entering distance scores for any of the 252 imperial distances, these are for 3 dozen arrows and awards can be obtained for achieving a score of 252 or more. Handicaps and classifications cannot be obtained because these are not valid rounds.
